First Zoning Advisory Committee Meeting

The Zoning Advisory Committee and interested residents met at the Town Hall on November 26th to identify needs and priorities relating to the Zoning Update project. Barbara Johnston, Senior Planner at LaBella Associates, the Town’s zoning consultant, presented the findings of LaBella’s technical review of Gaines current zoning.

Discussion focused on:

·The current zoning map and district boundaries

· Permitted uses

· Opportunities for design-based standards, especially in the historic hamlet areas

· Need for revisions to miscellaneous regulations

· Administration and enforcement procedures.
